Anti-child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

A Shared Responsibility: Our Unwavering Commitment to Combating Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

At Capsouls, our vision is to foster a digital community where users can connect, create, and share with confidence. The cornerstone of this vision is an unwavering commitment to user safety, with the protection of children from sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) being our highest priority. We maintain a zero-tolerance stance towards any content or behaviour that threatens the safety and well-being of young people.

This article outlines the robust standards we employ to combat CSAE and uphold our responsibility to our users.

A Zero-Tolerance Policy

Our Community Guidelines are unequivocal: any content that constitutes or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in any form.

  • Grooming or predatory behaviour towards minors.

  • Sexualised solicitation of children.

  • Any form of child exploitation.

Violations result in severe action, including the immediate and permanent removal of content, termination of accounts, and mandatory reporting to the relevant authorities, such as the Hong Kong Police Force's Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB).

A Multi-Layered Defence Strategy

Our approach to safety is proactive and multi-faceted:

1. Age Declaration by Users
We only allow those who are in the appropriate age to sign up as our users, who are required to declare their age upon signing up â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

2. A Dedicated Support Team
Behind our technology is our support team that develops our policies and safety features, who would also review and act on potentially harmful content, especially those that are flagged by users.  â€‹â€‹â€‹

3. Empowering Our Community to Report
We believe safety is a shared responsibility. We empower our users to be our allies by:

  • Providing Easy In-App Reporting: Intuitive reporting features are accessible on every post, profile, and direct message.

  • Prioritizing Child Safety Reports: All reports related to minors are flagged for immediate review by our support team.

  • Ensuring Reporter Anonymity: We protect the privacy and identity of individuals who report concerns.

Ongoing Pledge to the Community

Our work is never complete. As the digital landscape evolves, so will our defences. We pledge to continuously invest in advanced technology, and refine our policies to stay ahead of threats.

To our community: your trust is paramount. We thank you for your vigilance and for partnering with us to create a safer online world for everyone, especially our children.
